Meals and Snacks Provided

All meals and snacks are provided for my trips. I try to offer some variety in recipes while maintaining few ingredients and little prep both on and off the trail.

Most all of my dinners are either dehydrated or freeze-dried goods that are rehydrated on trail with boiling water. Lunches usually are a pb&j tortilla, meal bars, or summer sausage & cheese. Breakfast is usually oatmeal, grits, or granola, but eggs and some prepared meals are available too. Snacks of course include all sorts of varieties of granola, nuts, dried fruits and meats, and of course candy/sweets!

If you have any food allergies, I am happy to adjust all foods to fit your needs!

Recipes and Meal Planning

Meals on trail are incredibly important. Backpacking involves walking 8+ hours per day, which burns a ton of calories. Because of this, it is recommended to have high calorie meals and snacks while hiking! For meals, I currently have 4 recipes that I use consistently on trail. Most are adaptations from other famous backpackers (thank you Andrew Skurka), but all are delicious in my opinion. I do my best to keep variety when snacking on trail, meaning different textures and taste. A solid balance of sweet, salty, and savory helps me not get bored of my go-to snacks while hiking.
